There have been many significant changes in the claims process since the March 13, 2007 Workers Compensation reform. IMPORTANT - Changes in Treatment Authorizations - effective December 1, 2010 the Workers Compensation Board issued a new standard of mandatory Medical Treatment Guidelines relating to injuries to the back, neck, shoulders and knees. Read more about the new treatment authorization and treatment process.

IMPORTANT - Changes in the Hearing Process - The Workers' Compensation Board implemented the Rocket Docket, an expedited hearing process, which addresses denied claims. Under this new faster process, investigators must gather claim data, including statements, evidence, photos, etc., on a priority basis in order for the State Insurance Fund to defend the case most effectively. Insureds should take note that the investigations on denied claims are done in an aggressive manor due to more stringent time constraints; failure to meet those deadlines may cost the insured their case.
